Behaviour Interactive announced on October 23 that the Child’s Play Chapter is reaching the end of its time in the Dead by Daylight store. According to the developer, Chucky and the associated content will be removed from in-game and platform stores on November 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

The decision highlights a familiar challenge for games featuring licensed characters. These partnerships allow developers to bring famous movie villains into their games, but the availability of that content can depend on licensing agreements.

Chucky joined Dead by Daylight nearly three years ago, giving players the opportunity to experience the infamous killer from the Child’s Play horror franchise within the multiplayer survival game.

Can Players Still Use Chucky After November 24?

Yes. Players who unlock Chucky before the deadline will retain access to the character after the content leaves the store. The same applies to eligible cosmetics purchased before the cutoff, including Tiffany, who is available as a Legendary skin.

What Happens to Chucky’s Perks?

Chucky’s departure will also affect how players unlock his three character perks. According to Behaviour Interactive’s official FAQ, players who already unlock Chucky before the deadline will retain access to his perks under their original names.

For players who do not own the character, the perks will become part of the General perk pool, allowing them to be unlocked for use with other Killers under new names:

• Hex: Two Can Play will become Hex: Eye For An Eye.
• Friends Til the End will become One Track Mind.
• Batteries Included will become Gaining Steam.

This approach allows the perks to remain accessible even after the licensed character is no longer available to purchase.
