Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Brings Hogwarts Magic to an Android Phone
Harry Potter fans now have another piece of wizarding merchandise to add to their collection — and this one is a smartphone.
Chinese smartphone maker realme has launched the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition, a limited-edition Android phone created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery. Instead of simply adding a Harry Potter logo to an existing handset, realme has redesigned the phone, its software and packaging around the Hogwarts theme.
The phone is available in a special Magic Brown finish and combines the themed design with the same core hardware found on the standard realme 16 Pro.
A Hogwarts-Inspired Phone Design
The Harry Potter Edition immediately stands out from the regular realme 16 Pro.
Its rear panel features a textured, leather-like finish inspired by the wizarding world, along with the four Hogwarts house crests. The phone also features a special color-changing effect that reveals different house colors when exposed to UV light.
A laser-engraved "Welcome To Hogwarts" message is placed on the frame, while the camera decoration takes inspiration from Hedwig, Harry Potter's owl.
The phone measures just 8.47mm thick, making the large battery inside even more notable.
Harry Potter-Themed Software
Realme has also customized the software experience rather than stopping at the exterior.
The phone comes with Hogwarts-themed wallpapers, redesigned application icons, a customized boot animation and a Harry Potter-inspired fingerprint animation. Realme says more than 30 native app icons have received the Hogwarts treatment.
The camera experience also includes Harry Potter-themed elements, including house-inspired watermarks and filters.
The phone runs Android 16 with realme UI 7.0, so buyers get the same modern Android foundation as the standard model with an extensive visual makeover.
The Collectible Box Is Part of the Experience
Realme is treating this as a collector's edition rather than just another smartphone variant.
The phone arrives in a special gifting box inspired by Harry Potter's Hogwarts trunk. The package includes wizarding-themed accessories and collectibles such as an acceptance letter, Platform 9¾ train ticket, character postcards, bookmarks, a customized phone case and a SIM ejector tool.
The Harry Potter Edition is also limited to 5,000 units worldwide, making the packaging and accessories a major part of its appeal to collectors.

Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Specifications
Underneath the Hogwarts styling, the phone uses hardware similar to the regular realme 16 Pro.
It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The official realme store lists the Harry Potter Edition with this single memory configuration.
The phone's main specifications include:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Display | 6.78-inch AMOLED |
| Refresh Rate | 144Hz |
| Resolution | 1272 × 2772 |
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G |
| RAM | 12GB |
| Storage | 256GB |
| Main Camera | 200MP |
| Ultra-Wide Camera | 8MP |
| Selfie Camera | 50MP |
| Battery | 7,000mAh |
| Charging | 80W |
| Software | Android 16 / realme UI 7.0 |
| Color | Magic Brown |
Realme's official specifications confirm the 7,000mAh battery, 80W charging and 200MP camera setup.

200MP Camera and 144Hz AMOLED Display
Photography is handled by a 200MP primary rear camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 50MP camera is placed on the front for selfies and video calls.
The main camera supports optical image stabilization, while video recording can reach 4K at 30 frames per second.
For viewing content, the phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Realme advertises up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ support and a 94% screen-to-body ratio.
That combination should make the phone well suited to gaming, streaming and everyday scrolling.
A Huge 7,000mAh Battery
One of the phone's biggest hardware highlights is its 7,000mAh Titan Battery.
Realme pairs it with 80W fast charging, while bypass charging is designed to help manage heat during extended gaming sessions when the phone remains connected to a charger.
The company also supports wired reverse charging, giving users another way to use the phone as a power source for compatible accessories.
Is the Harry Potter Edition More Powerful?
Not really.
The Harry Potter Edition is primarily a design and collector-focused version of the realme 16 Pro. Its processor, display, cameras and battery are essentially the same hardware platform as the regular model.
What buyers are paying extra for is the Hogwarts-themed design, customized software, special packaging and collectible accessories.
That makes the phone particularly interesting for Harry Potter fans, while buyers who only care about performance may find the standard realme 16 Pro more practical.
Price and Availability
The realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition launched in India at ₹62,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. Realme's Indian store currently lists the same configuration at ₹62,999, although availability can change.
Realme has also launched Harry Potter-themed Buds T500 Pro earbuds alongside the smartphone.
For now, buyers in other markets should check local realme availability before expecting the phone to officially launch in their region.

A Phone Designed More for Fans Than Upgraders
The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition isn't trying to reinvent smartphone hardware. Instead, realme has taken a capable mid-range Android phone and turned it into a collector's item.
The combination of a Hogwarts-inspired exterior, themed software, special packaging, a 200MP camera, 144Hz AMOLED display and 7,000mAh battery makes it considerably more interesting than a standard special-edition colorway.
For Harry Potter fans, the collectible packaging and detailed software customization may be the biggest attractions. For everyone else, the regular realme 16 Pro offers the same core hardware without the franchise premium.
Either way, the Harry Potter Edition shows how smartphone manufacturers are increasingly using popular entertainment franchises to make familiar hardware feel more personal — and more collectible.
