Nothing Headphone (1) Pro Officially Unveiled With Triple-Driver Audio and Improved ANC

Nothing has officially introduced its latest premium over-ear headphones, the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro, bringing a major upgrade to the company's audio lineup. The new model combines a three-driver sound system, adaptive active noise cancellation, a premium metal construction and advanced connectivity features.

The Headphone (1) Pro is designed to deliver a more detailed listening experience while retaining Nothing's distinctive transparent-inspired design and tactile controls.

Triple-Driver Audio System

One of the biggest upgrades is the new triple-driver architecture. Instead of relying on a single driver, the Headphone (1) Pro uses dedicated hardware for different parts of the audio spectrum.

The system includes a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, a 13 × 8mm precision dynamic driver for the midrange and a compact xMEMS solid-state driver for high frequencies.

According to Nothing, the bass driver features a dual-magnetic system designed to improve punch and sensitivity, while the precision driver uses a PEN diaphragm for clearer vocals. The xMEMS driver uses a silicon diaphragm designed to provide faster response for high-frequency details.

Improved Active Noise Cancellation

Noise cancellation has also received a substantial upgrade. The Headphone (1) Pro features adaptive ANC with up to 46dB of noise cancellation and a total of 10 microphones.

The microphone system combines feed-forward and feedback microphones to monitor surrounding noise and adjust cancellation in real time. A new silicone sound seal around the earcups is also designed to reduce external noise leakage.

Transparency Mode is included as well, allowing users to hear their surroundings without removing the headphones.

Tuning With Metropolis Studios

Nothing has partnered with Metropolis Studios to develop the Headphone (1) Pro's audio tuning.

One of the standout features is Flat EQ, which can disable additional sound processing to provide a more neutral listening profile. This mode is intended particularly for music reviewing, production and mixing.

Users can also customize the sound through the Nothing X app, including custom EQ settings and Personal Sound features.

Premium Metal and Glass Construction

The Headphone (1) Pro features a more premium construction using machined aluminium, titanium alloy arms and scratch-resistant glass.

Nothing says the titanium alloy arms are 45% lighter than those used on the previous Headphone (1). The headphones also have an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

Comfort has been improved with redesigned dual-layer ear cushions, a wider headband and additional padding.

High-Resolution Audio and Bluetooth 6.1

The new headphones support Hi-Res Audio, including wireless LDAC playback. For wired listening, USB-C supports lossless audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz, while the 3.5mm connection supports Hi-Res audio up to 24-bit/96kHz.

Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 6.1, with support for dual-device connections and low-latency modes.

The headphones also support Auracast, allowing compatible audio to be broadcast wirelessly to multiple devices.

Up to 68 Hours of Battery Life

Battery life is another major feature of the Headphone (1) Pro.

Nothing claims up to 68 hours of playback with ANC disabled. With ANC enabled, battery life is rated at up to 30 hours using AAC.

Fast charging is also supported. A five-minute charge can provide up to four hours of playback with ANC turned off.

Signature Tactile Controls

Nothing has retained its distinctive physical controls instead of relying entirely on touch gestures.

The headphones include a volume roller, a paddle for track and call controls, a customizable button and a dedicated switch for Flat EQ.

The controls can be configured through the Nothing X application.
