Xiaomi is preparing to launch its new foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, later this month. The company has already confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Fold will use its self-developed Xring O3 chipset. Now, a benchmark listing has revealed more details about the upcoming phone.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold was spotted in the Geekbench AI database after a prototype was tested. The listing confirms that the foldable will be powered by the Xring O3 processor. It also shows that the tested model came with 16GB of RAM. Xiaomi could still release the phone in other memory configurations.

The benchmark listing also confirms that the Xiaomi 18 Fold will run Android 17 out of the box. This will give the device access to Google’s latest Android features and improvements when it launches.
In the Geekbench AI test, the prototype recorded a score of 629 in the Single Precision test. It achieved 799 in the Half Precision test and 634 in the Quantized test. These results provide an early look at the phone’s AI performance, although benchmark scores from a prototype may not represent the final retail version.
The listing also provides some information about the Xring O3’s CPU configuration. The chipset was detected with two cores running at up to 4.36GHz. Four additional cores reached speeds of up to 3.69GHz, while another four cores were clocked at up to 3.15GHz.
For graphics, the Xring O3 appears to use a Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC16 GPU. The combination of the new processor, large amount of RAM, and powerful graphics hardware suggests that Xiaomi is positioning the 18 Fold as a high-end foldable.
The Xring O3 is particularly important because it is Xiaomi’s own chipset. The company has been developing its in-house silicon to compete more directly with processors from major chipmakers. Xiaomi has also highlighted the efficiency and performance improvements of the new chip.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is expected to be officially introduced in September. More details about its display, cameras, battery, and pricing should become available as the launch gets closer.
For now, the Geekbench AI listing gives us a clearer picture of the phone’s hardware. The 16GB RAM configuration, Android 17, and Xring O3 chipset make the Xiaomi 18 Fold an interesting device to watch in the growing foldable smartphone market.
