Samsung appears to be preparing the Galaxy A58, the successor to this year’s Galaxy A57, with a new leak revealing the smartphone’s camera configuration ahead of its expected 2027 launch.
According to Dutch publication GalaxyClub, the upcoming mid-range smartphone will retain the same camera resolutions as the Galaxy A57, suggesting that Samsung may once again focus on software improvements rather than introducing major camera hardware upgrades.

The development comes as smartphone prices continue to increase across several markets, including Pakistan, where Samsung’s upper mid-range Galaxy A series already competes in a relatively expensive price segment.
Samsung Galaxy A58 Camera Specifications Leaked
According to the report, the Galaxy A58 will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. The smartphone is also expected to retain a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Interestingly, these are the same camera resolutions Samsung currently offers on the Galaxy A57.
| Camera | Galaxy A57 | Galaxy A58 (Leaked) |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 50MP | 50MP |
| Ultrawide | 12MP | 12MP |
| Macro | 5MP | 5MP |
| Selfie | 12MP | 12MP |
The report does not reveal the sensor models, sensor sizes, or other technical details. Therefore, it remains unclear whether Samsung will introduce newer imaging sensors while retaining the same megapixel counts. The company could still improve image quality through better image processing, computational photography, and software optimization.
However, the absence of any reported changes to the camera configuration suggests that users expecting a significant photography upgrade may be disappointed.
Another notable detail is the continued use of a 5MP macro camera, a feature Samsung has retained in several Galaxy A-series generations. A telephoto lens could have improved zoom photography, but the latest leak does not point to one.
For context, the Galaxy A57 already offers optical image stabilization on its 50MP primary camera. Whether the Galaxy A58 introduces additional camera features remains to be seen.
Samsung Galaxy A58 Expected Price in Pakistan
Samsung has not announced the Galaxy A58’s official price for Pakistan or any other market. However, the pricing of its predecessor provides a useful reference for estimating where the upcoming smartphone could be positioned.
The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G has been listed on Samsung Pakistan’s official website at Rs. 167,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
Based on its predecessor’s pricing and the expected positioning, the Galaxy A58 could cost approximately Rs. 170,000 to Rs. 185,000 in Pakistan, depending on the variant, exchange rates, taxes, and Samsung’s eventual pricing. This range is an editorial estimate, not an announced or leaked official price.
The final retail price could be higher or lower. Retaining camera resolutions also does not guarantee that other components or the price will stay unchanged.
Samsung Galaxy A58 Expected Launch Date in Pakistan
The Galaxy A58 is expected to debut internationally around March or April 2027, based on the historical launch window of Samsung’s upper mid-range Galaxy A phones. GalaxyClub also points to a spring 2027 launch, although Samsung has not confirmed any date.
The handset could reach Pakistan in March or April 2027 if Samsung follows a similar regional rollout. However, Pakistan’s launch date, retail availability, and variants remain unconfirmed.
